Above-ground archaeological studies investigate the physical evidence remaining in an architectural space beyond the current presentation surface. This slideshow discusses the process used and evidence found during our investigation behind the plaster and woodwork in the Old Senate Chamber and how this was correlated and contrasted with archival documents available at the Maryland State Archives.
